Prerequisite for semen collection

1. It's very useful to have a bitch in heat
2. If ever possible, please bring along a bitch in heat of your own.
3. Sometimes we are able to make an appointment, when another bitch in heat is available at our clinic.
4. Some experienced stud dogs don't need a bitch in heat for complete ejaculation.

How the semen is collected?

1. The bitch in heat is standing in front of the stud dog.
2. Initial friction movements and forming a ring with the fingers to simulatet the "tie"
3. Collection of the semen in an appropriate vial followed by immediate examination of the semen

Location of semen collection

1. Tierarztpraxis Dr. K. & Dr. C. Blendinger, Robert-Bosch-Str. 12, 65719 Hofheim-Wallau. We would like you to make a special appointment
2. Any appropriate place in an area of less than 100 km arount the Rhein-Main - area. (Presence of a bitch in heat and at least 3 stud dogs for semen evfalutation; it's possible to freeze the semen following examination if quality is appropriate.
